Cooper Creek, a park designed around the 1960’s Bull Creek Watershed Flood and Prevention Project, has been expanded to house one of the top clay court tennis facilities in the state of Georgia. The Columbus Regional Tennis Association (CORTA), along with the City of Columbus and Columbus State University, broke ground on a joint expansion project in the Fall of 2015. The new complex includes 14 hard courts, 9 clay courts, and 4 Quick Start courts. In addition, a clubhouse was constructed to house the men’s and women’s CSU tennis teams and the CORTA offices.
